Galaxy Nails | DIY

I've always been obsessed with stars, galaxys, astrology etc, so what better way to fulfil my galaxy desire than galaxy nails! I'm not sure where the galaxy nails trend started, but after seeing it all over Tumblr, I couldn't help trying.

To make the galaxy nails, this is what you need: A cosmetic sponge (Not in the picture), Black nail polish for the base, Blue nail polish for the base of the nebula, Pink for the next layer of the nebulae, Few bright polishes to create the rest of the nebulae and Glitter polish.

Paint your nails with the black polish.

Put some nail polish on the sponge into and then dab it onto your nails and allow to dry, then follow with other colours of your choice, just dab it until you like the combinations.

Now grab the glitter polish to create sparkling stars and apply a coat or two over your nebula and then grab a cotton bud soaked in nail varnish remover and clean up the edges. Don't forget the top coat and you’re ready!

The universe at your fingertips. I absolutely love the look of these, super easy to do and very fun! You can also add a touch of yellow or white to the galaxy, whatever you want! Cake Pops | DIY

Do you Remember the "Happy-bday blog" photoshoot? For the decoration I made pink and white Cake Pops and now they are probably one of my favorite treats! I love how they look like cute little lollipops and the best part is that they can be made into any color or flavor. A lot of people ask me about them, so here is a step-by-step tutorial made my mom and I, for making the perfect cake pops.

1. Bake a cake, any flavor you like.

2. Add 2 cups of frosting, I used a store-bought frosting for these. 3. Use your hands to mix together the frosting and the cake. 4. Now, with your hands make small balls, about 3-4 tablespoons each.

A standard size cake will make around 50 pops, in the picture we have to flavors, because at the same time my mom was making chocolate cake pops.

5. Now put them in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours. 6. Dip a lollipop stick in the melted chocolate and push the stick through the cold cake pop.

7. Dip the pop in the melted chocolate. 8. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off the pop. I like to drizzle on a bit more chocolate just to add texture and some sprinkles to add color.

Cake Pops | Receta

¿Recuerdan la sesión "Happy-bday blog"? Para la decoración hice Cake Pops rosa con blanco y desde ese día se convirtieron en mi postre favorito! Me encanta como parecen pequeñas paletitas y lo mejor es que pueden ser de cualquier sabor y color. Mucha gente me preguntó como las había hecho, así que mi mamá y yo hicimos un pequeño tutorial de como hacerlas.

1. Hornea un pastel, del sabor que tu quieras.

2. Añade dos tazas de betun, yo utilize el que normal que venden en cualquier tienda. 3. Usa tus manos para revolver el pastel con el betun. 4. Ahora, con las manos haz pequeñas bolitas de 3 a 4 cucharadas.

Se pueden hacer aproximadamente 50 bolitas con una caja de pastel normal. En la foto se ven de dos sabores porque al mismo tiempo mi mamá estaba haciendo Cake Pops de chocolate.

5. Ahora metelos al refrigerador por 1 o 2 horas. 6. Sumerge una parte del palito de paleta y pásalo a través de la bolita fría.

7. Sumerge la paletita en el chocolate derretido. 8. Deja que se quite todo el exceso y se seque el chocolate. Yo les puse un poco mas de chocolate ya que se habían secado para darle textura y tambien le añadí azúcar de colores para darle un toque mas divertido.

Galaxy Nails | DIY

Siempre me han gustado las estrellas, galaxias, la astronomía y todo eso, y que mejor forma de probar eso que las uñas con nebulas! No estoy segura de donde comenzó esta tendencia, pero desde que la vi no pude evitar querer intentarlo.

Para hacer las nebulas vas a necesitar: Una esponga de maquillaje (no esta en la foto), Pintura de uñas negra para la base, Pintura de uñas azul para la base de la nebula, Pintura de uñas rosa para dar más color, algún color brillante para terminar y Pintura de uñas con brillitos.

Pinta tus uñas de negro y deja secar.

Pon un poco de pintura en la esponga y aplícala dando golpesitos en las uñas, deja que seque y repite este paso con todos los colores que quieras hasta que tengas una combinación que te guste.

Ahora toma la pintura con brillos para crear las estrellas y aplica una o dos capas, después con la ayuda de un hisopo y acetona limpia las orillas de las uñas. No te olvides de la capa de protección y listo!

El universo en tus manos. De verdad me encanta como se ven estas uñas, son super fáciles y muy divertidas! También puedes añadir amarillo o blanco a tu nebula, todo depende de tus gustos. Cuéntame si te gustaron, y si lo intentas mandame unas fotos y dime como te fue, la verdad yo lo intente más de 6 veces antes de tomar las fotos, era un cochinero por todas partes!
