Flowers and stripes | Outfit

4 oct 2013

Last time wearing this sweater! Spring is here and the weather is starting to warm up, I never thought I was going to be this happy in the coming of a spring-summer season, let's see how long the happiness lasts.

I wanted to create an "Almost summer" outfit, but keeping myself warm because as at any other part of the world, the weather is crazy and some days it's really hot and another days we are freezing. This day was one of those, where if you are in the shadow or inside a room you feel cold, but outside is really nice and warm.
So, this time I paired my striped thick sweater with my very well known flower skirt and my combat boots to keep it away from being too girly, because that's not my style at all. As you can see I'm not wearing heels in my latest outfits and as I mentioned before, is because I'm always walking through the city.
Being at the other side of the world is driving me crazy, I can't stop looking at the fall trends and falling in love with a thousand of looks while here we are starting to melt! Wish me luck trying to figure this out, and if you know some south-american blogger please send me the link to gain some inspiration! Have an amazing week!

Oversized Plaids | Outfit

29 sept 2013

Being plaids one of the biggest trends this season, I really wanted to have more than a T-shirt with that pattern, so I took my bf's coat in the instant I saw it in his closet. I'm extremely in love with oversize clothing and for me it's even better with coats, I fill like they add some chicness to the outfit in an instant.

Even if it's cool outside, when you are standing in the sun the weather starts to feel a little warm, so I'm finally using my skirts again! This time I used my favorite pencil skirt with leather panels on the sides and finally got to use this tank that I bought like 3 years ago I love it (My best friend loves it too) and I don't know why I've never uploaded a look using it.

Another thing I was keeping locked is this amazing statement necklace from persunmall.com, I got it the day before coming to Santiago and here, with the winter and the crazy cold I couldn't find a way to use it, until now!

Tribal Denim | Outfit

16 sept 2013

I'm pretty obsessed with this denim top, I find it super easy to match, it's really comfortable to wear and it keeps me warm enough so I don't need a blazer or a coat in this cold days. Under it I wore an old bustier and one of my new favorite skirt, I love the pattern it has, it reminds me a little bit to the Mapuche Patterns.

It's really weird for me to go through fashion blogs and read about fall trends while here we are changing into spring, I'm quite exited about spring-summer season because here is not as hot as in my home town, so I thinks is going to be easier and not to mention we have a big pool in our house, can't wait!

Flowers and Crochet | Outfit

13 sept 2013

Spring is almost here, the sun is shinning a little bit more and the weather is not as cold as before, now I can use my skirts in the evenings and I only have to cover my arms with a light sweater and I am ready to go.

I really like the touch this crochet vest gives to my looks, I want to use it with everything. Once again I'm using my flower print skirt with its really comfortable and really easy to match. I really want to make a section in the blog about Chilean style, every day I go to the streets I fall in love with a lot of outfits, it's amazing how different it is from my city, here the people (not only the young) is not afraid of the trends or looking 'ridiculous', they are free as they want to.

New hair, Valparaíso | Outfit

3 sept 2013

As I said before, I don't know since when I started liking this trend, but I find it really fun and easy to match. It adds a different twist vibe to your wardrobe if you want to try something new but easy.

Well, this time I didn't wait a long time to get a plaid shirt because one of my roommies has a lot of them so I asked him to lend me one. I paired it with a graphic tee from a Mexican brand 'Mexican Fashion', skinny jeans and my beloved litas (which after a year, are finally mine).
This was the outfit I used for my trip to Valparaíso, I didn't used the litas all day long, I was also carrying a pair of sneakers, and I used them most part of the day. And if you didn't notice I dyed my hair purple-ish, and I am seriously thinking of adding a little bit more color. Not sure yet.

White Zebras | Outfit

29 ago 2013

This is probably the most risky outfit I've posted on the blog. I used it on a night out with some friends and I decided to submit it as an entry for the New York Fashion Week Contest at lookbook.nu since it's something I'd wear on a fashion event.

I'm wearing a top from MexicanFashion Clothes, with a cool zebra print that represents a very popular activity in my hometown. In some of the main streets of Tijuana, there are donkeys painted as zebras for tourists to take pictures with them.
I think this is my first time wearing a solid white clothing, which was scary mainly because I'm not careful enough to use those colors on a normal basis, and even worse at a party! The heels are my roommate's. I would like to thank her because she's been really helpful, taking the pictures and helping me with my looks.

What do you think, is it too much? What would do you use to go to a fashion event?

Sweet Flowers | Outfit

25 ago 2013

Honestly I was never against flower crowns, but I never used them because they seemed 'too much' for me, so when I found this little cute design with pink roses, I wanted it immediately.
Also, you know my obsession for skirts, and this one has become one of my favorites, love the color and the Hawaiian-like print.

Finally the weather is being a little more friendly and now I am able to show my legs, but there is not enough sun yet to use only a top, so I put on my boy best friend's Zara Jacket to create a more effortless look but still warm.

Aztec Print | Outfit

22 ago 2013

Finally sunny days, so I can wear skirts! In my attempt to make my wardrobe look different and trying a new style, I came out with this formal look with a not-so-formal print, from a top I bought at Cancún a year ago.

I liked the combination of the colors and the textures of the blazer, you can't really see it in the pictures, but it has some leather details in the neckline.
Also, I've been using a lot my beloved cross ring, I think it looks so chic and edgy at the same time, I love it! How's the weather at your city? I'm getting use to visit weather.com every morning and then plan my outfit in like 5 minutes! How do you deal with weather?

Little bit of sun | Outfit

13 ago 2013

And one magic day I woke up, and the sun was touching my skin, the room was warm and the sky was bright blue. I decided to wear a skirt in honor of the amazing weather (sadly, it only lasted one day).

I love to create casual/formal looks, just like this, I could add a blazer, and in an instant I have a nice comfortable but still formal enough look to be on a business meeting or in a presentation.
I haven't shown a lot this sweater, but I have to confess I use it a lot, I think I have over used it, but I love the knitted-a-like print I can match it with a lot of things and is light enough for summer, but it covers for light winter. Also I have a new collection of necklaces, this one is one of my favorites.

New beginnings | Outfit

8 ago 2013

My first visit to my new alma mater. I was (actually, I still am) extremely excited about this new opportunity to learn, to become a better person and to have a lot of amazing adventures!

Well, I don't even want to talk about Chile's weather. Remember I was always saying "I love winter, cold is my favorite weather"?, now I am really thinking about it, somedays we wake up with -4Cº and it only increases at 7 or 8 degrees, it is crazy!
Because I had to pay extra money for extra luggage I only carried one suitcase, so my closet is going through a hard time, I hope I can save some money to buy new clothes while I'm here! As well as shoes, I only got to bring 2 high heels and some boots!
For my first day of course I wanted to be comfortable and as fashionable as possible, but to be honest I only chose the thickest clothes I could find, I was totally freezing!

Viva México | Outfit

31 jul 2013

Me at Mexico City! Definitely this is one of the cities I want to live in, and even though I only went there for a day, this little trip was amazing!

I wore a top from a amazing brand settle in Tijuana; MexicanFashion, with my beloved floral skirt and a denim top to cover up my arms in the rain. Also I used the same combat boots because they are really comfortable to walk in.

Since I saw MexicanFashion clothing I have been pretty much obsessed with their tops and caps, and I always wanted a lot of them, but I wanted to wear them in some special place, so this trip was the perfect moment to spread the love to the brand and finally get some MexicanFashion clothes.
I got 3 pieces, and I hope to buy more online to wear them in Chile.

This outfit is quite different of what I always use. I am starting to take a little more risks and try new styles, you know what they say, "new city, new attitude".
